Product details

The PSW multi-channel series is a programmable switch DC power supply with dual or triple channel wide range output. The maximum output power can reach 1080W. There are 13 two channel models with a rated power of 720W and 24 three channel models with a rated power of 1080W. The rated voltage of low-voltage models is 30V, 40V, 80V, and 160V. The rated voltage of high-voltage models is 250V and 800V.

The CV/CC priority selection of the PSW multi-channel series is a very useful feature for protecting DUTs. When the power output is turned on, traditional power supplies typically operate in CV mode. This may cause high surge currents to capacitive loads or current intensive loads in the power output stage. Taking the verification of the IV curve of LED as an example, using traditional power sources for this measurement has become a very challenging task.
When the LED is connected to the power supply in CV mode as the initial setting, when the power output is turned on and the voltage rises to the forward voltage of the LED, the current will suddenly reach its peak and exceed the preset value of the current limit. When the high current is detected, the power supply begins to transition from CV mode to CC mode. Although the current becomes stable after CC mode is activated, current spikes occurring at the intersection of CV and CC may damage the DUT. During the power output phase, the PSW multi-channel series can operate at CC priority to limit current spikes that occur at threshold voltages, thereby protecting the DUT from surge current damage.
The adjustable slope of the PSW multi-channel series allows users to set the output voltage or current, specific rise time for transitioning from low to high, and specific fall time for transitioning from high to low. This facilitates the verification of DUT characteristics during voltage or current level changes with controllable slopes. Most manufacturing tests of lighting equipment or large capacitors during power output are related to the occurrence of high surge currents, which greatly shorten the lifespan of the DUT. In order to prevent surge currents from damaging current intensive devices, a smooth and slow voltage conversion during power on/off periods can significantly reduce surge currents and protect equipment from high current damage.
The PSW multi-channel series offers OVP and OCP. OVP and OCP levels can be selected, with the default level set to 110% of the rated voltage/current of the power supply. When any protection level is triggered, the power output will be cut off to protect the DUT. The PSW multi-channel series offers USB Host/Device and LAN interfaces as standard, with GPIB and RS-232C as optional. All available interfaces support LabVIEW drivers and data recording PC software. The rear panel also provides analog control/monitoring connectors for external control of power on/off and external monitoring of power output voltage and current.
The advanced web server is a unique feature of the PSW multi-channel series, which can directly execute SCPI instructions through a browser and control the power supply of the PSW multi-channel series. The interval for data recording is 1 second. It can edit the output sequence. Wide range output: Provides a wide range of voltage and current outputs at the same rated power. A power supply has the total capacity of multiple power sources.
Release circuit: Accelerate voltage drop time. Sequence: Save the output sequence on a USB drive to directly control the power supply to execute automatic test sequences. The CV/CC priority mode of the PSW multi-channel series is a very useful feature for protecting DUTs.
Conventional power supplies typically operate in CV mode during output. During power output, capacitive loads or current intensive loads may cause surge currents. Taking the I-V verification curve of LED as an example, measuring it using traditional power sources will be a challenge. In the initial state, the regular power supply operates in CV mode. When the output voltage exceeds the forward voltage of the LED, the current will flow instantly, exceeding the default current limit value. Even if the current becomes stable after switching to CC mode, the intersection between CV and CC may still damage the DUT. However, the PSW multi-channel series is capable of operating in CC mode during power output to suppress surge currents and prevent damage to the DUT during voltage transients. The adjustable conversion rate allows users to set the rise and fall time of voltage or current. By controlling the conversion rate setting, it is easy to verify the DUT under varying voltage or current conditions. In the manufacturing and testing of lighting equipment or large capacitors, power output often generates significant surge currents, which greatly shorten the lifespan of the DUT. In order to prevent damage caused by surge currents, slow voltage output greatly reduces the harm caused by surge currents, thereby achieving equipment protection. The OVP and OCP functions provided by the PSW multi-channel series can be customized, with a default value of 110% of the rated value. When the protection setting is triggered, the output will be turned off to protect the DUT. USB and LAN are standard communication interfaces for the PSW multi-channel series, while GPIB-USB and RS232-USB are optional. All interfaces support LabVIEW drivers and data recording PC software.
